Students were challenged to debate their classmates using sonnets, inspired by Shakespeare's rhyme scheme. Who do you think won?
Dogs versus cats is the age-long debate,
But dogs are the ones who stay by your side.
Cats are selfish and despise each play date,
And only are there to get through the ride.
Dogs always love you, through good times and bad.
Eager to please you and bright like the sun,
Known as man’s best friend, a lifelong comrade.
And with every call, they’ll come on the run.
Cats creep around in their own little world
Acting entitled, like kings on a throne.
But they only sit, with bodies so curled,
Acting so strange, so aloof and alone.
In the end we all know, dogs are the best,
Far better than sly cats, and all the rest.
