1. Who/What inspires you?
Overall I would say music and other people inspire me, but books have been a major source inspiration for me since I was younger.

2. What made you start drawing?
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, but I really started to take art seriously when I was about nine. I was taking a summer art course and my instructor saw a lot of potential in me and encouraged me a lot.

3. How has your past shaped your drawing?
I went through a lot of personal and medical issues from the ages of 11-14, some of which I still deal with today. I feel like that has given me a more abstract kind of view on life which I portray through drawing.

4. What medium do you enjoy?
For a while I worked with graphite and charcoal, but for the past year I've really gotten into watercolor.

5. What is your favorite color scheme to use?
I like to use greyscale tones, as well as more jewel tones. However, I do enjoy using pastel colors as well.

6. How do you foster your drawing skills?
I've taken a few art courses in the past few years, but I mostly just try to draw something every day. I feel like keeping a good record of what you make can really help you see your progress since many people get discouraged when they don't feel as if they are improving.

7. If you could meet any artist who would you meet?
My current favorite artist is Echo Gillette, as I lover her personal style and I think she is very creative overall and I would love to know where she gets her inspiration. She has created some really unique artwork and I would love to know where that comes from.
